On February 21 to March 18, the next two groups activist from Russian NGOs took part in project “Increasing cross-border networking Russia – Poland”. The third course was held from February 21 to March 4, 2005, in which the representatives of the following NGO participated: Kazan Non-profit Foundation for Support of Cultural, Social and Economic Projects “Azamat”, Public motion ”Mothers Against Drugs”, Kaluga Regional Public Organization “Enlightenment. Culture. Rights. “ISTOK”, Chelyabinsk Regional Public Fund "Ruka pomoschi" ("Helping Hand"), European University at St. Petersburg, NON-COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIP “MOY GOROD” (My City), City Civic Organization "Together in the future”. The last course was held from March 7 to 18, 2005, in which the representatives of the following NGO participated: The Regional NGO “Сenter for Women’s Initiatives”, Public organization “Federation of the children’s organizations of the Samara region”, Severodvinsk social women’s organization, Local Children’s Public Organisation «Children – Peace in the World», Charity Fund of Yuri Ten, Autonomous NGO (rendering services) “Open Alternative”, Stavropol Reg. Public Charitable Organization"Faith, Hope, Love", oraz Ryazan State Youth Public Organization “The Institute of the Youth”. The program included some lectures and meetings with the representatives of Polish government and NGOs, There were lectures on “Basis of fund-raising” (Ms. Katarzyna Sad³o from Civic Education Society), “European Union Funds for NGOs” (Regional European Information Centre), “A role of media in informing about NGOs’ activities” ( Mr. Bertold Kittel – journalist of daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita”), “Co-operation with state and local authorities” - Public Profit Department (Ministry of Social Policy) and Social Politics Bureau of Warsaw City, The trainee got meetings with the Polish non-governmental organizations: Stefan Batory Foundation, National Women’s Information Center „O¦KA”, Polish-American Freedom Foundation, The Regardless of Bad Weather Foundation, The Handicapped Children Aid Foundation HIPOTERAPIA, Nobody’s Children Foundation, Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies House for Homeless EMAUS of “Life Bread” Foundation, Support Office for the Movement of Social Initiatives BORIS. Additionally the trainees met with the Senator – Zbigniew Romaszewski, who introduced them to the current political situation in Poland. They also met with the government Plenipotentiary for Gender Equality – Dr. Magdalena ¦roda.
